An Albert Lea man charged in August for intentionally driving a minivan head-on into the vehicle his former girlfriend was driving pleaded not guilty Thursday in Freeborn County District to all counts against him.

Juan Trujillo

Juan Dedios Trujillo, 49, pleaded not guilty to fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, driving after revocation and three counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, one for each of the people who were in the van he crashed into on Blake Avenue near Home Depot. They were taken to the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries.

Court documents state Trijuillo and the woman had broken up some time back and that he had allegedly popped the tires on her Cadillac earlier in the day. The woman also said he had threatened to kill her and her children earlier in the day.
