Kathryn Jorgenson, 1948-2019

Kathryn Marie Jorgenson, 70, of Owatonna died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at Timberdale Trace.

She was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Melvin and Anina (Madsen) Hultman.

Kathy graduated from Albert Lea High School.  She married James Jorgenson on Feb. 3, 1968, in Albert Lea.

After a couple moves for work, the couple made their home in Owatonna. Kathy enjoyed being a waitress at the Kernel for 41 years. She was a member of the Eagles Club. She enjoyed cleaning and watching the Lifetime Movie Network. Kathy loved camping, singing and dancing with her family. She also loved attending her granddaughters’ events.

She is survived by sons Jim (and Bobbi) Jorgenson of Rochester and Chad Jorgenson of Owatonna; granddaughters Samantha Jorgenson and Alyssa Jorgenson; brother, Robert Hultman of Fort Collins, Colorado; sisters Betty Rupp of Las Vegas, Pat (and Quentin) Matson of Albert Lea, Cindy Gordon of Albert Lea and Diane Bollig of Fort Collins; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and sister, Jane.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Michaelson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Michaelson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
