A.L. swimmer leads the team as this year’s only senior
Q: What grade are you in?
A: Senior.
Q: What town to you live in, and which school to you attend?
A: I live in Alden and go to school at Albert Lea High School.
Q: Who is your immediate family?
A: Paul and Jennifer Jensen are my parents, and Emily Jensen is my older sister.
Q: Which sports do you play?
A: I am on the swim team.
Q: What is your favorite part of playing your sport?
A: Meeting people I might not have reached out to on my own.
Q: What has playing that sport taught you?
A: Swimming has taught me how to function in groups of people I might not have chosen to work with on my own.
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: Cheery-eyed determination on the very first day of practice every year.
Q: How did you get started in your sport?
A: I swam with the Tiger Sharks at the YMCA from a very young age.
Q: What sports did your family members play?
A: My dad was on his college swim team.
Q: What are your sports-related achievements?
A: I have lettered in swimming for three years, and I am a captain.
Q: What are your sports-
related goals?
A: Drop time in my 500 free and make my last year the best it can be for the other swimmers.
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?
A: I don’t have a favorite.
Q: What are your college plans? Major?
A: I will be going to Dunwoody Technical College and get my welding certification.
Q: What is your favorite school subject?
A: Psychology.
Q: Who is your favorite teacher?
A: It’s a tie between Mr. Fiscus and Mr. C.G. (Corey-Gruenes).
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I love to do art, mainly drawing and sculpting.
Q: What is your dream job?
A: Something that has me financially stable enough to do things I want to do.
Q: What is your favorite TV show?
A: “Avatar: The Last Airbender”
Q: What is an interesting fact about you?
A: I broke both my arms at the same time, and I’ve accidentally had my eye super-glued shut.
