Seedorf’s column was unfair to men

Julie Seedorf’s column on Monday was a gross insult to many of the men I know, especially the next generation.
Seeing the younger generation in action, I see young fathers bear the whole load of being a father and mother when the wife has to travel for their jobs or work some nights to provide their share in raising their family.
They pickup kids, fix meals, wash clothes, make sure appointments are met. The handle baths, bed, school, Scouts, baseball, church, doctor visits, etc.
Maybe living in the middle of a cornfield, near a hog-confinment building has brought confusion to the author. Times have changed since the ’50s, when Dad plowed the south 40 and Mom picked eggs and took care of the home place.
Nowadays young people have to share responsibilities to make a home and family work. Perhaps the writer should look at the world realistically and not try to be funny while belitting people who are trying to perform jobs which are unfamilar and completely foreign to them and their natural upbringing.
I wonder why they have placed baby changing stations in men’s restrooms, if this chore is a women-only job.
