Albert Lea graduate wrestling for Iowa making an impact

Albert Lea 2019 graduate Zach Glazier has been making a name for himself on the University of Iowa wrestling team.
While not a part of the varsity team, Glazier has climbed to a 10-0 record so far with two tournament championships to his name.
At the Grandview Open on Nov. 16, Glazier competed at 197 pounds in the freshman-sophomore division and came away with the title. He went 5-0 on the day starting with a 16-5 major decision, followed by a fall at 2:15, then a 18-0 tech fall in the quarterfinals. In the semifinal match, Glazier won by way of a 19-8 major decision and won the first place match with a fall at 2:26.
The following weekend, Glazier competed again at 197 pounds in the freshman-sophomore division. His first win of the day came via a pin at 1:12, followed by a 16-4 major decision. He advanced through the quarterfinals with a medical forfeit win, then dominated his semifinal match with a 16-4 major decision. He picked up another fall in the championship match for the second consecutive week, bringing his fall total to four.
