Four people were injured Thursday in a crash on an icy road west of New Richland.
Patrick Ira Milks, 61, of Wells; Lawrence Haskell Cooper, 85, of Wells; Lena Jane Cooper, 81, of Wells; and Victoria Hinastoza, 12, unknown city of residence, were taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato with injuries deemed not life-threatening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The State Patrol stated Milks was the driver of a 2019 Buick Encore and was carrying the other three passengers on Minnesota Highway 30 when the vehicle collided at the intersection of Waseca County Road 11 with a 2006 GMC Envoy, driven by Cayla Raeann Mingo, 19, of Waseca. The report stated Mingo was unable to stop on the ice and snow-packed road. The Buick entered the ditch and rolled onto its roof.
Mingo was not injured.
The report stated all occupants were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Waldorf Fire Department and New Richland and North Ambulance crews.
