2 injured in separate weekend crashes

A 34-year-old Wells man was injured Sunday after heavy winds blew over his semi in Faribault County.
Louie Weston Brua Mortenson was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for unknown injuries, according to the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.
A press release stated Mortenson was westbound on 250th Street when the wind picked the trailer off the ground, causing the semi to tip over, as he went through the curve. The crash took place near 610th Avenue, about 10 miles southwest of New Richland.
When the Sheriff’s Office arrived, the semi was found tipped over on the driver’s side in the south ditch of 250th Street.
Also assisting at the scene were the Waseca County Sheriff’s Office, Waldorf Fire & Rescue, and New Richland Ambulance.
Man injured in crash on I-35
A 35-year-old St. Paul man was injured Saturday morning after the vehicle he was riding in rolled over on Interstate 35 in Albert Lea.
Soua Yang was taken to the hospital for injuries deemed not life-threatening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Yang was one of two passengers in a 2006 Toyota Tundra, driven by Sia Yee Her, 62, of St. Paul.
The vehicle reportedly went off the roadway near mile marker 11 and rolled.
Her and a second passenger, Chao Lee, 59, of St. Paul, were not injured.
Roads were snowy and icy at the time of the crash.
