The city of Albert Lea Utility Department has closed the intersection of Hawthorne Street and Garfield Avenue to fix a watermain leak through Friday.  The intersection will remain closed from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Friday. No water outages are expected for any customers, according to a press release. There will also be no disruptions to school traffic before or after school.
