Letter: Sanders has bold plans to move country foward

I support Bernie Sanders. I will vote blue no matter who on Nov. 3. I just hope that I get to cast that blue vote for Bernie Sanders because I want our next president to have bold plans that push us forward instead of just bringing us back to the days before Trump. Sanders supports the Green New Deal, which not only combats climate change but creates millions of new jobs. He supports Medicare for all, which guarantees health care to everyone.
In November, I want to vote for the candidate who says he hurts when others hurt and didn’t have to evolve on values such as LGBTQ rights and racial justice. Sen. Sanders was arrested in his youth protesting school segregation and backed a gay pride parade back in 1983 as the mayor of Burlington.
I would be honored to cast my vote for the candidate who not only supports strong unions and a living wage, believes in the dignity of all workers, but has literally walked the walk. Sanders has been on more picket lines than all the other candidates combined.
I want to beat who I think is the most dangerous president in American history, a man who peddles fear and hate, builds walls and puts kids in cages. When we have large voter turnout, Democrats win. The Sanders’ campaign speaks to the young and disenfranchised, creates an energy that will turn out voters and has a huge group of volunteers that just won’t stop.
If you want to be part of over 1 million volunteers supporting Bernie Sanders, go to map.berniesanders.com to find an event near you. If you’re still unsure of who you support, I hope you will do your research; don’t forget to go to BernieSanders.com.
Regardless of who you cast your ballot for, please vote in the Minnesota primary on Tuesday so that you are part of the process of choosing the next presidential candidates.
