ALEDA and its community partners — including the city of Albert Lea, Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau and Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce — have been working together to compile a list of all businesses choosing to remain open while following the executive order 20-04, according to a press release. Below is a link to a list of Albert Lea area restaurants continuing to serve the community. ALEDA will keep the list as up-to-date as possible and encourage the community to support local. The organization is actively suggesting ways people can continue to support local businesses, such as ordering by phone or online, purchasing gift cards, interacting with them on social media and leaving reviews, etc., the release stated, and asked people share the story of supporting local businesses while everyone waits to hear more on government resources to help sustain small businesses.
