Anne Marie Troska, age 81 of Alden, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Austin.
Anne was born on June 21, 1938 to Clive and Eloise (Reeder) Jenson in Albert Lea, MN. She graduated from Alden High School and then went on to attend Mankato State University for a brief time. She married the love of her life Raymond Troska. Together, they instilled in their five children a love and respect for nature and animals. Once her children were grown, she went to work at Naeve Hospital. Following that she worked for 23 years at Semcac in Mower County as an outreach worker providing financial assistance, food and shelter for those in need.
Anne had a deep love of gardening. She wrote a weekly article for the Alden Advance called Through the Garden Gate. She also enjoyed traveling through the mountains and camping with her husband. She had deep gratitude for Myre-Big Island State Park. Her kindness and compassion outweighed everything.
She is survived by her children Ellen Anderson of Brooklyn Park, MN, Michael (Joni) Troska of Ft.
