The Land Between the Lakes Kids Triathlon is at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Albert Lea city pool. It offers a unique opportunity for youth, families, volunteers and sponsors to encourage physical activity in a fun way while establishing lifelong health and wellness values. Age groups are from 7 to 14 years old. Swimming takes place in the City pool under the supervision of certified life guards. The bike route will take place on the Blazing Star Bike Path. The run will take place by the boat landing and old water treatment plant. The race will finish in the city pool parking lot. The transition area is limited to participants and volunteers only. Spectators will be allowed to watch outside the pool and along the sides of the bike and run routes.
