111 new COVID cases reported in county; active cases pass 270

Freeborn County is continuing to see an uptick in new COVID-19 cases reported.
According to the health update released Tuesday, the county reported 111 new cases from 4 a.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, along with five new hospitalizations.
The Freeborn County Public Health Department stated with the new cases reported Tuesday, Freeborn County has 271 active cases.
The new cases included the following:
• Four cases between 0 and 4
• Five cases between 5 and 9
• 11 cases between 10 and 14
• Six cases between 15 and 19
• Ten cases in their 20s
• 22 cases in their 30s
• 15 cases in their 40s
• 14 cases in their 50s
• 11 cases in their 60s
• Nine cases in their 70s
• Three cases in their 80s
• One case in their 90s
The following new cases were reported in other area counties:
• Faribault County: 44 new cases
• Mower County: 75 new cases, one new death
• Steele County: 88 new cases
• Waseca County: 95 new cases
Across the state, 12,445 new cases and 45 deaths were reported.
