Salvation Army has summer food service program

The Salvation Army of Albert Lea is participating in the summer food service program through the Minnesota Department of Education Food and Nutrition Service. Meals will be provided to all eligible children at two sites without charge.
Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
Meals will be provided as follows: June 7 to Sept. 3, noon to 2 p.m. at Youth For Christ’s The Rock, 116 W. Clark St., Albert Lea. The location is open to any school-aged children up to 18 years of age.
In addition, The Salvation Army is participating in the summer food service program for children enrolled in The Salvation Army day camp program. Meals will be provided to all eligible children.
Meals will be provided as follows: June 7 to Sept. 3, at The Salvation Army, 302 Court St., Albert Lea. Breakfast will be served Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Lunch is Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
