Editorial: Turbine is a good sign for college

A wind turbine at Riverland Community College is a good sign for an expanding program on alternative energy.
It’s clear from the ethanol plant, the proposed Bent Tree wind farm and from Riverland’s classes that Albert Lea is becoming known for its alternative-energy focus.
We hope this means Riverland in Albert Lea grows and attracts extra students. An expanding Riverland enrollment is good for the Albert Lea economy.
And a wind turbine in town, though sure to create some debate up front, in the end is a good landmark for our fair city.
