Glenville-Emmons baseball defeats Houston 4-2

In a prelude to what might become the race for the Southeast Conference championship, the Glenville-Emmons baseball team came through with a 4-2 victory over Houston in Glenville.
Junior Jon Mittag was spectacular on the mound and in the batter’s box.
Mittag threw a complete game with eight strikeouts. Mittag scattered five hits and allowed two runs.
Mittag was also potent from the plate. He went 3-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Michael Thofson was 2-for-3 and hit an RBI.
The Wolverines made up for Tuesday’s loss to Blooming Prairie.
Glenville-Emmons took advantage of Hurricane costly errors en route to the win.
