MASSAGE, BODYWORK AND SOMATIC THERAPIES
THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ALBERT LEA ORDAINS:
On May 8, 2023, the Albert Lea City Council had an official meeting and passed an Ordinance amending Article X. – Spas, Saunas and Massage, Bodywork and Somatic Therapies.
The amendments to this ordinance address concerns about authenticity of licensing, business history, and public safety as well as setting standards for conduct, cleanliness, hours of operation, experience and a background check. In addition, new terms and definitions have been added for clarity.
This Ordinance was adopted by the City Council of the City of Albert Lea on the 8th day of May, 2023.
Summary of this Ordinance was adopted by the City Council of the City of Albert Lea this 8th day of May, 2023. The Ordinance will become effective upon publishing in the Albert Lea Tribune.
