Albert Lea Fire Rescue crews extinguished a blaze in a shed next to the Elbow Room early Monday morning that authorities say contained a cooler used by the restaurant.
No damage was reported to the restaurant itself.
Firefighters were dispatched to the shed next to the Elbow Room, at 310 E. Eighth St., and quickly extinguished the fire.
In addition to the cooler, there was also a large tote full of used oil that had melted and was burning in the shed.
The fire department stated the cause of the fire was due to an extension cord that was being used to operate the cooler. The department reminded people that extension cords are for temporary use only.
Damage was estimated at $6,000.
