The defending Section 1A champion Albert Lea Tigers girls hockey team traveled to Austin on Tuesday evening and came away with a 17-0 victory at Riverside Arena in Austin.
Mika Cichosz led the Tigers with three goals and three assists. Keira Erickson and Anna Shaw both had two goals, while 10 different skaters had one goal apiece for Albert Lea.
Jayda Moyer made 10 saves while posting the shutout.
Next up for Albert Lea is the Marshall Thanksgiving Tournament Friday and Saturday in Marshall. The Tigers open the tournament against Pine City at 2:30 on Friday.
