The Freeborn County Arts Initiative has extended a special invitation to musicians, dancers, poets and performance artists for its upcoming “Sounds of the Solstice” online variety show event.
The submissions will be compiled and transformed into an engaging one-hour online variety show, ideal for family holiday entertainment.
Celebrating artistic diversity this holiday season and embracing the spirit of the holidays, “Sounds of the Solstice” is looking for a variety of performances, including music, dance, poetry and other creative acts. Each submission will contribute to a larger narrative, creating a dynamic and inclusive online show.
This is an opportunity for artists from various disciplines to showcase their talent in a professionally produced show, reaching a broad audience across the United States.
Submissions deadline is midnight on Dec. 16, and the show will premiere at 7 p.m. Dec. 21 to stream online on YouTube and Facebook. There will also be an in-person watch party at the Arts Initiative gallery.
Artists are welcome to submit their holiday-themed performances via the submission form at www.OpenMicNight.org.

Freeborn County Arts Initiative events are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
