The Albert Lea dance team over the weekend competed in the Belle Plaine Invitational.

Albert Lea competed with four teams: varsity high kick, varsity jazz, JV high kick and JV jazz.

“Our teams did a great job and competed against recurring state teams,” coach Hannah Peterson said.

They competed against 14 teams, and the varsity kick team placed fifth and varsity jazz placed seventh. The JV kick team placed ninth and the JV Jazz placed eighth.

“We are so proud of our teams and all the hard work they’ve been putting into their dances!” Peterson said.
