Terry Stephen Pederson, age 80, passed away on December 28, 2023, at his home after a short battle with lung cancer. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in conjunction with his son Aaron. Terry was born October 7, 1943, in Albert Lea, MN to Stephen (Swede) and Velga (Anderson) Pederson. He attended Albert Lea High School and Albert Lea Votech. In May of 1967, he married Patricia (Hanson) Pederson.

Terry worked in many trades including manufacturing management, tool and die, and maintenance. He had many hobbies over the years, including machining, playing bass guitar, competitive shooting, hunting, racing motocross, flying airplanes, and making golf clubs. Among other things, Terry truly embodied the term outdoorsman. He loved to spend time in nature camping with family, hunting up north with friends, and downhill skiing. In his later years, he enjoyed coffee with his friends, teasing his grandkids with his sharp-witted humor, and listening to all the classic music in his basement. Terry’s quiet presence, strength, and funny one-liners are already missed.

Terry is survived by the love of his life, Patricia; his children Mitch (Lynn) Pederson, Kelly Hagen, Penny Pederson of AZ, and Brandee King of OH; grandchildren Jade Flores, Hilary Flores, Melanie (Gabe) Kotilinek, Lawrence Pederson, Justin (Taylor) King, Tydene Newbill, Jessica, and Elise King; great-grandchildren Vincent and Andrew Martinez, Logic Flores, Javianna and Jaliyah Rodriguez; niece Ann (Dean) Mulso and many great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Aaron Pederson; sister Barb Schulte of AZ; niece Pam Wang of WI; and son-in-law Dave King of OH.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to St. Croix Hospice (2580 Bridge Ave, Albert Lea, MN 56007), or the American Lung Cancer Association.
