On August 31, 1991, Debbie married Larry Madson at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, MN. Together, they forged a loving partnership built on a strong foundation of friendship and support. Larry was not only her spouse but also her rock throughout their years together.

Throughout her life, Debbie dedicated herself to caring for others. Her compassionate nature led her to work in home healthcare, Good Samaritan nursing home, and Naeve Hospice, where she made a profound impact on the lives of her patients. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond humans and included an affinity for animals. From her beloved dogs, Mikey and Boy, to the tiniest creatures, like Japanese beetles, Debbie’s tender heart embraced every living being.

Known for her incredible sense of humor, Deborah had a charm that made people feel instantly at ease. Deborah’s impeccable sense of style was a reflection of her vibrant personality. Her fashion sense was a testament to her inner and outer beauty.

In her free time, Debbie found solace and joy in her hobbies. She bird watched on the farm and possessed a gifted eye for painting landscapes. Debbie preferred to stay at home where she loved to create a haven of comfort and peace. A master in the kitchen, Debbie took pride in cooking dishes “just like mom used to.” Her delicious meals were a labor of love that will be deeply missed.

Although she found solace in the comforts of home, Debbie also relished the opportunity to embark on mother-daughter trips with her daughter Danha. Exploring different cities together, they would indulge in shopping sprees, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.

Upon passing, Debbie is reunited with her son, Tory Lucas; parents, Eldon and Betty (Kabrud) Goodeman; brother, Lonnie Goodmann; and brother-in-law, Shawn Harriman.
