If the forecast holds true, Old Man Winter may be returning with a vengeance later this week and into next week with two winter systems.
According to the National Weather Service, 1 to 4 inches of snow are expected in the Albert Lea area starting Thursday evening and continuing through Friday morning.
People should plan on slippery roads at those times as temperatures drop into the mid-20s, according to the Weather Service.
A second larger system could impact the region Sunday into Tuesday.
As of Wednesday morning, the weather agency stated there is a 40 to 50% chance that Albert Lea and the surrounding areas will see 6 inches of snow from that storm, which could also be mixed with rain and sleet.
Strong winds of 25 to 35 mph could also bring impacts, and travel will again be impacted.
