March always brings many busy days for The Salvation Army in Freeborn County. Here are just a few items.
March Food Share — The food pantry is at an all-time low with donated nonperishable goods. March provides awareness to the community of those that are less fortunate and are in the need of a hand up.
Vacation Bible School — The youth department is sponsoring a vacation Bible school during spring break. This year’s theme is Crocodile Rock. The Christian-based program will be held at the Salvation Army March 23 through March 27 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. This program is at no cost to the participant.
Thrift Store Donations — As a reminder, The Salvation Army Family Store is a major contributor to all the programs that happen here in Freeborn County. The proceeds from the store provide necessary income to accomplishing all these services. The money raised at the store are kept local.
