Richard Arlen (Dick) Webber

Dick passed away peacefully in his sleep on 5/22/2024 at St Johns Lutheran Home of Albert Lea at the age of 93. He was born one of 12 children to Francis and Alice (Marshman) Webber. From 6 years old through his teenage years, he was in the Owatonna Orphanage where he was indentured to families for free farm labor.
From 1949-1959 Dick was in the Army Air Corp, later known as US Air Force, where he was a radar technician working on the F-102 jets and boxed on the Air Force team.
On January 10th, 1956, during his time stationed in Duluth, MN, he was married to Marlys Lindahl. This past January they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.
Dick enjoyed bowling, softball, boating, snowmobiling and camping. Dick and Marlys spent many years camping on the Mississippi River with friends and family. They also spent several years as Captain and First mate of the Pelican Breeze on Albert lea Lake. In 2001 Dick was honored to be named Freeborn County outstanding Senior Citizen.
Dick is survived by wife Marlys, Son Rick (Cheri) Webber of Austin, Daughters Cindy (Jeff) Larson of Alden, and Vicki Zook of Austin, 7 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
Celebration of Life will be held on June 22nd, from 2pm-4pm in the chapel at St Johns Woodlands, 1861 Eagle View Circle, entrance located on west side of Building.
