An Albert Lea teenager was injured early Thursday after his vehicle rolled and struck a sign on Bridge Avenue near Katherine Street.

Police stated driver impairment and speed are suspected as factors in the crash.

A press release states police responded to the crash at 3:20 a.m. Thursday at 160 Bridge Ave.

Responding units found a 2006 Ford Focus that had been traveling south on Bridge Avenue near Katherine Street and had rolled. The driver was still in the vehicle and had to be removed by Albert Lea Fire and Rescue’s extrication team.

The driver, Talan James Tabor, 18, of Albert Lea was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea for injuries.
