Keith Rodney Redman, 94, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5-7PM Thursday, August 15 at the funeral home, and for an hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Freeborn Cemetery. Pastor Haack will be officiating.

Keith R. Redman

Keith Redman was born January 22, 1930, to Arthur and Violet (Abbott) Redman. He graduated from Minnesota Lake High School in 1947. He grew up on a farm helping with chores and tasks around the farm. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955 and then returned to the family farm by Freeborn. He was proud to have served his country. He married Delight Hedensten on April 10, 1955, at the Congregational Church in Freeborn. To this union four children were born.

Keith took pride in being a farmer. In retirement he became interested in woodworking supplying many trucks, wagons, dressers, etc to many who knew him. He spent many hours in his woodworking shop. He enjoyed being with family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially taking them on fishing trips to local lakes.

Those left to cherish his memory are children LeAnn Eastman, Kevin Redman, Douglas (Barb) Redman, Karen (Dave) Busta. Sisters-in-law Colleen Stenzel and Vernell Miller. Grandchildren Clint Eastman, Cari (Doug) Jenkins, Ashley (Nick) Danner, Crystal Redman, Kraig (Casey) Redman, Amanda (Adam) Henning, Eric Redman, Rachel Weiland, Mark (Claudia) Redman, Shai (Taylor) Sweazey, and Kyle (Bree) Busta. Great grandchildren Tristan, Jerry, Myla, Macy, Kaylin, Bria, Hailey, Henrik, Otto, Ava, Alana, and Breyer.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, Wife Delight, brother Clifford (Delores) Redman, Brothers-in-law Roger (Marilyn) Hedensten, Marvin (Jake) Stenzel, Berdell Miller, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Redman, son-in-law Brian Eastman, and grandson Reid Weiland.
