Senior loves the people she’s met playing volleyball

Q: What grade are you in?
A: 12th

Q: What town do you live in, and which school do you attend?
A: Albert Lea. Albert Lea Senior High School

Q: Who is your immediate family?
A: Mom (Trisha Hansen), Dad (Zach Hansen), and Brother (Jaxon Hansen)

Q: Which sports do you play?
A: Hockey and volleyball

Q: What is your favorite part of playing your sport?
A: My favorite part about playing volleyball is all the people I get to be surrounded by each day. It is such a blessing to meet new people and be surrounded by them on and off the court. I have built up so many strong relationships that will last a lifetime, and I have made so many memories along the way.

Q: What has playing that sport taught you?
A: Playing volleyball has taught me how to have a determined mindset and to push through and have a strong mentality no matter what. It’s important to remember that you need to be selfless and play for your team to be successful, but don’t forget to have fun while doing it!

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: My favorite sports memory is going to the State Hockey Tournament with my hockey team in 2022 and beating Mankato East during Homecoming week this year with my volleyball team.

Q: How did you get started in your sport?
A: I got started playing volleyball when my mom signed me up to play in the YMCA volleyball league when I was in elementary school.

Q: What sports did your family members play?
A: Mom: Basketball, softball, figure skating
Dad: Hockey

Q: What are your sports-related goals?
A: My goal for this volleyball season is to win our first section game and then continue to compete throughout the rest of sections. My goal for this hockey season is to make it to the State Tournament and compete while we are there.

Q: What are your college plans? Major?
A: I plan to attend either University of River Falls or University of Stevens Point to major Kinesiology (Physical Therapy)

A: Psychology

A: Erin Brackey

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, walking my dog, playing sand volleyball, being out in the sun, riding my bike and rollerblading,

A: Physical therapist

Q: What is your favorite TV show?
A: “Suits” or “Gilmore Girls”

Q: What is an interesting fact about you?
A: I can touch the tip of my nose with my tongue.
