Supertramp fans are invited to a special concert from tribute band, Super Tramps. Formed in 2023, the ensemble performs awe-inspiring performances honoring the iconic Supertramp band. The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $25, and more information can be found at actonbroadway.com/concertsevents/

Rhapsody & the Blues

Albert Lea Civic Music will kick off its 78th season with a concert celebrating George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” This will be a new arrangement of the work reimagined by Matt Catingub and will feature a special guest pianist and internationally renowned musician, Jens Lindemann, on piccolo trumpet. The concert will also feature the music of artists like Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson and Nat King Cole. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Albert Lea High School auditorium. Season tickets for Albert Lea Civic Music are $50 for adults, $15 for students and $105 for a family season ticket.

Oktoberween 

Everyone is invited to Albert Lea’s Oktoberween beginning at 5 p.m. Friday at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds with events running through Oct. 27. Each event night will have a kids carnival, haunted house, food and drinks and live music. Admission is $10 per person with children 5 and under getting in free. Friends of the Albert Lea Public Library fall book sale

Come to the Albert Lea City Center Garage from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday for the Friends of the Albert Lea Public Library annual fall book sale. Thursday’s sale will be exclusively for Friends of the Library members. Individuals can join the Friends for $5 at the door for entrance to the Thursday sale. Ghouls Night Out

Lake Mills will host a special Ghouls Night Out Saturday. Many different local businesses will hold sales and there will be a vendor market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the civic center. Participants are invited to pick up a stamp card at the Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Participating businesses will stamp people’s cards, and the stamps will be used for a drawing following the event.
