Q: What town do you live in, and which school do you attend?
A: Albert Lea, Albert Lea High School
Q: Who is your immediate family?
A: Mom (Audra) and Dad (Brian)
Q: Which sports do you play?
A: Tennis and track and field
Q: What is your favorite part of playing your sport?
A: Creating relationships with my teammates and having so many laughs and memories. I’ve enjoyed watching our team improve both physically and mentally. I’m always grateful for the opportunity to get better at doing something I love.
Q: What has playing that sport taught you?
A: Life isn’t always about winning or even necessarily competition. It’s about making the most out of every moment and making lasting friendships. Through tennis I’ve learned how hard work and dedication can go so far but ultimately having fun is the most important part.
Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?
A: Every hug with our assistant coach Karol Hansen. We’re so honored that she came back to help us out this year, and I’m so grateful for all of her positive encouragement and pushing me to be my best. I’ve made many lasting memories with Coach Hansen, from her cookies to her pep talks and everything in between. I firmly believe that without the help of her and our head Coach Schafer, we wouldn’t have been as successful as a team as we were this year.
Q: How did you get started in your sport?
A: As a kid I was trying out lots of sports to see what I would like, and tennis was the one that really stuck with me.

A: Roger Federer for his work ethic and commitment until the end of his career. He has a positive and kind attitude, stayed humble, and had fun.
Q: What are your college plans? Major?
A: I plan to major in psychology and I’m leaning towards St. Olaf but I’m still undecided.
