It’s officially Progress season here at the Tribune, and in the next few weeks, we will be busy planning the stories for our biggest special section of the year.
For those who may not be familiar with Progress, it typically publishes at the end of February or beginning of March, and highlights many positive things happening in the community.
We work on the section for the good part of three to four months every year.
Progress puts a spotlight not only all the good things happening in the community but also many of the people who go above and beyond to make those things a reality. It is the place each year that we unveil the Tribune’s annual Citizen of the Year.
In addition to stories, the Progress section highlights how long companies and organizations in the area have been in operation in our Down Through the Years section, and businesses that would like to showcase their services.
The section features some of our best work all year around the subjects of arts and education, economic opportunity, health and spirituality, neighbors, people and demographics, and community.
While we are still selecting a theme, we’d love to hear if you have any story ideas you think would fit well into this section. Please send them to news@albertleatribune.com.
We look forward to getting out even more into the community and meeting new people who are making a difference in the lives of those around them.
We live in a wonderful community with many inspirational people and are sure there is no shortage of ideas.
