In these complicated times, my letter is simple because I think the choice is obvious. I am endorsing Angie Hoffman and Kasey Wolters for school board.
Angie has faithfully served for the last four years. She has been strong, yet open-minded. She has held to her convictions, even when met with resistance from most of the board and administration. Her passion is for the good of the students and the community. She has dug in and served with integrity. She has been open to listening to both sides, which has resulted in making informed and wise decisions. Angie is bold, respectful, analytical, meticulous, courageous, driven and accomplished. She has proven this time and time again during the last four years of her tenure.
Kasey has been very involved during the last few years. She has been to almost every school board meeting and is very knowledgeable. She has used her voice to share her questions and concerns, and that can be a difficult thing to do. She is also very involved within the schools and is currently volunteering her time as treasurer for LESO (Lakeview’s PTA).
One thing that sets Kasey apart from the rest is that she has a young son in our district. She will be deeply invested for many years to come. Kasey is committed, informed, strong, hardworking and a very good listener. She cares and wants to hear all the information so that she can make an informed decision.
Angie and Kasey will both serve with integrity. They will demand transparency, which is something that our administration and school board have struggled with over the last several years. It is imperative that we have strong members that will not rubber stamp decisions because it is how the majority is being led to vote. We need board members who will engage with the students and community. We need board members who will follow their hearts and will lead with strong ethics and morals. We need Angie Hoffman and Kasey Wolters. Please join me in voting for them on Nov. 5.
