Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On behalf of the American Legion Post 56 board of directors, we would like to thank the St. Theodore’s School, Albert Lea elementary schools and the Hollandale elementary school for the wonderful cards, place mats and letters you all gave to the veterans. These beautiful and touching works of art were given to the veterans at the Nov. 11 Veterans Day event and will be shared with our veterans in the Albert Lea nursing homes. We have posted some of them in the hallway of the Legion for our veterans to enjoy.

Each one of those works of art meant a great deal to the veterans and their families as well. Your appreciation for these veterans was truly treasured by them all.

It is so nice to see our young people participate and appreciate Veterans Day. This is what it is all about. May you enjoy your freedoms these men and women gave for all of you to treasure.
