Deputies arrested Victoria Kathryn Ryg, 25, for second-degree driving while intoxicated, no insurance, driving after revocation and speed after a traffic stop at 7:22 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of U.S. Highway 69 and West Main Street.

 

1 arrested for domestic assault

Police arrested Zachary Allen Malay, 27, for domestic assault-fear at 2:55 a.m. Thursday at 702 Freeborn Ave.

 

Identity theft reported

Police received a report at 7:12 a.m. Thursday of identity theft that had taken place in Albert Lea. Someone reportedly applied for an auto loan in someone else’s name.

 

Counterfeit bill reported

Police received a report at 8:31 a.m. of a counterfeit $20 bill that was given to a customer as cash back at 2707 Bridge Ave.

 

Camper fire reported

A camper fire was reported between two houses at 1:07 p.m. Thursday at 113 S. First Ave.

 

Stolen four-wheeler recovered

A stolen four-wheeler was reported recovered at 3:49 p.m. Thursday in Albert Lea.

 

Cougar sightings reported

The Albert Lea Police Department has received three reports of cougars on the southeast and southwest parts of Albert Lea. It is forwarding the reports to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

All of the sightings were at night that were recorded on trail cams.
