New Year’s Rock on Ice

The City Arena will host an early New Year’s skating celebration from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Uptown Sound will provide the music, and there will be contests as well. Cost of the event is $5, which includes skate rentals.

Holiday Bounce House & Junior Gym Pop-ups

The Albert Lea Family YMCA will have a bounce house and junior gym pop-up event from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday and Jan. 3. The event is free for members and $3 per child for nonmembers. This is a great way for children to burn off extra energy while school is out.

Bright Nights holiday lights

There is still time to experience the magic of Christmas decorations by driving through the city with the Bright Nights Holiday Lights Map 2024, presented by the Albert Lea Convention and Visitors Bureau. Free movie at The Mills Theater

The Mills Theater will host a free showing of the movie Balto (rated G) at 1 p.m. Saturday. This event is presented by the Lake Mills Chamber Development Corporation and sponsored by David’s Marketplace.

The Johnny Holm Band at Diamond Jo Casino
