Women of the Moose Souper Bowl soup cook-off

The Women of the Moose will host their second annual Souper Bowl soup cook-off Sunday at The Albert Lea Moose Lodge 1703 — Chapter 1364. People can bring soups at 2:30 p.m. with tasting beginning at 3 p.m. Cost to sample is $5, and there will be cash prizes for the first and second place soups.

Freeborn Eagles Rugby Club annual gala

The Freeborn Eagles Rugby Club will host a formal gala at 6 p.m. Saturday at Events at the Broadway. There will be a social time, dinner, a silent auction, guest speakers and performances. Tickets are $40, and formal attire is encouraged.

Hayseeders Ball & Fundraising Dinner

The Northwood Kensett FFA Alumni & Supporters will host a night of fun, food and fundraising from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Timbers Event Center in Northwood. There will be a social time, prime rib dinner, a silent auction and a king and queen coronation. Cost for dinner is $50 per person or $400 for a table of six. People can also socialize and bid on silent auction items at no cost.

Live music by Steve Boyken at Geneva Bar & Grill

Musician Steve Boyken will perform his unique blend of classic rock with an acoustic twist from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Geneva Bar & Grill.

Galentine’s night out

Ladies are invited from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday to the Weathered Wagon in Alden for a special Galentine’s night out. There will be a cute make-and-take project, store specials, goodies from Lacey’s Catering and more.
