A note of encouragement just for you

Feeling overwhelmed? Pressures of this life getting to you? Frustrated with life? Don’t feel like you even have time to read this article? My friend, you are not alone. Many times, we can become weighted down by the cares of this world. There is hope for you!
Feeling stressed? I encourage you to cast all your care upon him for he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He loves you more than you love yourself. He loves your children even more than you love them. Would he withhold anything from you as his child? If you “know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” (Matthew 7:11) Ask him for help, and ask often. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Talk to God all the time. Whenever you think of him, talk to him. You can talk to him out loud or in your head; it doesn’t matter. God reads our hearts. Speak only positive words to yourself. This may seem very strange if you have been in the habit of putting yourself down, but it’s very important. Do not put yourself down; build yourself up. Surround yourself with positive music and positive friends. Help someone else out. That is a guaranteed uplifter.
Financial worries? I encourage you to trust him. “And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, nor do they spin, but I say to you that even Solomon in his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” (Matthew 6:28,29) Put your priorities in the proper order. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33) Repent if you have not been a good steward of what you have received or even earned. Realize everything is the Lord’s “for the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness of it.” (1Corinthians 10:26) And, when you’ve done all you can do, stand. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He’s not worried about finances.
Feel worthless? I encourage you to hold on to God’s word. All throughout his word, he speaks of how much he loves you. He created you for a reason. You are not here by mistake. There is a plan and purpose for your life. Start doing what you can to help others and to further God’s kingdom. “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not fear, you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31)
Don’t know the Lord yet? I encourage you to take the leap of faith today. Jesus Christ will never let you down. He will never abandon you. He will be there for you any minute of the day or any minute of the night. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Give him a try. He is waiting for you.
Read all this and still feel down? I encourage you to call a local pastor today. We are here to encourage and help you today or any day!
