For the sixth year area churches have teamed up with Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp for summer Vacation Bible School Day Camp. Sunday the Okoboji Team arrives. There will be pizza, ice cream sundaes, fun and time to get to know each other at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trinity Hall beginning at 5 p.m. VBS week begins on Monday and continues through Thursday at Edgewater Park. The four days will be packed with Christ-centered activities, games, arts and crafts, songs, skits, and Bible-based-lessons. The week closes with a celebration on Thursday night.

The theme “Out of This World” is based on John 15:19. Children will learn about The Contact: Get to know God by reading the Bible, The Connection: We are called to pray — anytime, anywhere, The Commander: It is by grace that we are saved through Jesus Christ alone, and The Commission: Jesus wants the whole world to know about Him.

VBS Day Camp Week is for all area youth entering first through sixth grade in the fall of 2011. It runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m Monday through Thursday at Edgewater Park Cottage in Albert Lea. Bring a sack lunch. Beverage is provided. There is a special VBS for preschoolers. Three year olds must come with an adult. Preschoolers attend 9 a.m. to noon. Everyone gets a morning snack. Potluck picnic and program by the kids will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Edgewater Park Main Pavilion. Children will sing and share what they have learned during the week. Bring utensils and a large dish to share. Beverage provided. Everyone is welcome.

Register with any of the participating churches listed below. Members of participating churches may receive full or partial cost coverage. Registrations can be made on Sunday evening at Trinity for grades first through sixth. Preschool class is full at this time.
