Heartland Security, a locally owned alarm/security company, was honored at the recently concluded National Security & Fire Conference held in Las Vegas. Heartland Security was awarded the coveted title of 2009 Western Division Security Pro Dealer of the Year for its exemplary performance as a company and its practices. This prestigious award is given annually to one security dealer who is selected among thousands and who provides superior performance, customer service and satisfaction, business performance and community stewardship.

Heartland Security is locally owned by Peoples Cooperative Services, Tri-County Electric, and Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services along with 10 other Minnesota cooperatives and provides security systems, video surveillance and card access to both business and residential customers throughout Minnesota.

Thomas M. Vega of St. Charles is regional sales manager for Heartland Security with 20-plus years in the security industry.
