March is Music in Our Schools Month, and the halls of United South Central School will be filled with the sound of music. Two concerts will feature the musical talent of the USC student population.

On Thursday, March 5, the fifth- and sixth-grade band, seventh- and eighth-grade band and senior high band will perform a selection of instrumental favorites. The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium in Wells.

The Monday, March 9, concert will feature the fifth- and sixth-grade choir, seventh- and 8th grade choir and senior high choir. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium in Wells.

There will be a brief intermission between each grade level to accommodate the audience members who arrive late or need to depart early at both concerts.

On March 13 the senior high band and choir travel to Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton to compete in the sub-section large group contest. The groups perform their music and are critiqued by three judges.
