Here are highlights in history for June 12, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1986 — One of the exhibits at the Worth County Historical Museum in Northwood, Iowa, according to a Tribune article, was a collection of U.S. Army shoulder patches and emblems of the World War II and Korean War era.

1976 — Members of the Crossroads Campers Club and the Good Sam Club held a special weekend camp-out at Helmer Myre State Park to stress their support for the proposed expansion of this park.

1966 — Mrs. Clarence Boecke and Mrs. Kermit Jensen were teachers of the last class to attend Starlight School east of Albert Lea.
