Two people arrested after raid

Authorities arrested two adults Thursday morning after the South Central Drug Investigative Unit Special Weapons and Tactics team was activated to assist with the execution of two search warrants.
According to authorities, the warrants were executed at 220 1/2 E. Seventh St. and 218 E. Seventh St. at about 9:05 a.m. Thursday.
During the execution of the warrants, one weapon and some contraband were recovered, along with possible trace amounts of narcotics, Albert Lea Police Chief Dwaine Winkels said.
Six officers assisted with the warrants.
No other information was available about the raid. The investigation is still ongoing. The two men are expected to be charged in Freeborn County District Court today.
