Venue change no problem for Glenville-Emmons girls

Even a change in venues couldn’t stop the Glenville-Emmon girls’ basketball team Friday in a 48-34 win against Hope Lutheran in Winona.
The Wolverines and Patriots had to vacate the Hope Lutheran gym after the first half because of a leaky roof and the game was moved to the Winona Cotter high school gym.
The second half didn’t start until 9:30 p.m., but it made little difference for Glenville-Emmons. The Wolverines (4-14, 2-12) continued to play good defense and held the Patriots to 14 points in the second half.
Kalli VanRyswyk led the way for Glenville-Emmons with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Kailey Davis helped seal the victory late, going 5-of-6 from the free throw line. Davis finished with 10 points.
