The fifth annual Downtown Cleanup was a great success. Not only did the weather cooperate in the best possible way, but we got so much done. Special thanks go to all community-minded volunteers including mayors (past and present), City Council members, Albert Lea Fire Department, ShineFest, Destination Albert Lea members, downtown business owners and many, many others.

We couldn’t do this each year without the support of Thompson Sanitation with their donation of a large Dumpster. This year we were also blessed with the nice surprise of our own Albert Lea Grizzlies coming down to help us. They are a fun group of guys who worked hard and blessed us with laughter and smiles. Overall, it was a great day and downtown business owners are truly appreciative of all the support offered.
