Several watercolor paintings by Eunice Isackson are on display at the Albert Lea City Hall.

Isackson earned a fine arts degree from the University of South Dakota and worked as an illustrator in an advertising department in Sioux City, Iowa. Later, she earned an art education degree from Mankato State University and taught in District 241 and Glenville.

“I painted with oils for many years, but turned to watercolors because I like the lighter, fresher color effects that result. Flowers, painted from life, are a favorite subject, and also landscapes painted from sketches which were done on location,” Isackson said.
