Two injured in crash

A 63-year-old Glenville man was transported by Mayo One helicopter to a Rochester hospital Saturday afternoon after his vehicle rolled over three miles east of Albert Lea.
According to a Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office news release, Robert Gordon Bock was reportedly driving east on Freeborn County Road 19 in a 1999 Cadillac when he missed a curve and went into the south ditch, rolling once.
The crash was reported to authorities at about 3:25 p.m.
Bock’s passenger, Casper Leland Kycek, 79, of rural Hayward, was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time.
When authorities arrived at the scene of the crash, Kycek was found outside the vehicle. It is unknown if Kycek was wearing his seat belt or how he ended up outside the vehicle.
Bock was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
Assisting at the scene was the Albert Lea Police Department, the Albert Lea Fire Department and the Albert Lea Township Fire Department.
