Wolverines softball falls to W-E-M in playoffs

The Glenville-Emmons softball team saw its season come to a close in a 2-0 loss to Waterville-Elysian-Morristown in the opening round of the 1A subsection playoffs Tuesday in Waterville with the Wolverines at bat in the top of the seventh inning.
Umpires decided to call the game in the top of the seventh with one out because of inclement weather after a 20 minute delay.
Sixth-seeded Glenville-Emmons went hitless through 6 1-3 innings against Buccaneers pitcher Brittany Buesgens. Buesgens struck out three and walked two for third seeded W-E-M.
