Rebels cruise past Crusaders
The United South Central volleyball team traveled to Mankato on Tuesday looking to extend a two-game winning streak against the Mankato Loyola Crusaders.
The Rebels (11-6, 4-2 Gopher) got a lift in the frontcourt as outside hitter Kayla Stenzel returned from an injury and USC defeated the Crusaders (0-17, 0-12) 25-19, 25-12 and 25-13 to earn the sweep.
Allie Voigt led the Rebels with 11 kills on the night and had three ace blocks.
Val Sahr recorded nine kills for USC, while Stenzel finished with seven kills.
Tayla Sunde led the Rebels in digs with 14.
Marielle Schultz tallied a team high 20 set assists for USC and Katie Ovrebo finished with 14 set assists.
Voth Sunde and Ovrebo went 16-for-16 from the service line.
